So far I have ~5 potential birds-of-a-feather sessions (1 to 2 hours) to be scheduled outside normal conference sessions. To include:
- Estimating Strategies for Research Software Engineering.
- Geologic Mapping (including a short report on the PLANMAP winter school on planetary geologic mapping and 3D geological modelling)
- PDS (e.g. PDS4 discussion or tutorials/demos)
- Community Cloud Needs
These sessions will have someone to help facilitate the group but they are really meant to be a place to discuss and ask questions. If you would like to have a like discussion scheduled, please post here.
@thare et al.,
For the Geologic Mapping birds-of-a-feather session, we were thinking to have a very brief summary on the Winter School and related materials, point - within the discussion - towards what PLANMAP did and GMAP is doing/plans beyond the school and maybe include a little hands-on on Mappy, Plus of course general open discussion focused on data/tools for geologic mapping, as well as opportunities for cooperation/exchange beyond PDW/PMW.
If anybody has additional wishes, feel free to reach out or, if they don’t need much preparation, spontaneously at the session and maybe following up either here or on Slack.
