OP Lunch Talk #18

Alfredo Escalante (ESA/ESAC) talks about “Apollo 15 at the Moon in Virtual Reality”.

Following the reconstruction of the Apollo 15 mission, high precision scenarios which are applicable to future Lunar missions have been generated. The creation of such scenarios required the production of 3D models, the integration of SPICE with the Unity software and other assets for simulating real dynamics. Implementing Virtual Reality (VR) with these assets provides a more complete perspective and an immersive experience, transporting the user to the Moon.
