@arfon Have you ever thought about a conference organizing version of JOSS, where the abstracts are submitted as PRs? Merge==accepted, scripts create conference program from all merged stuff? @kidpixo

Yep, we’ve had discussions, and the Julia folks basically do this with https://proceedings.juliacon.org (although they don’t do the merged==accepted thing).
If I had more time to invest here I think something along these lines could work really well.
