Venus-focused postdoc position in Padova

Call for the postdoctoral position for the HECATE project, “The Evolution of Venus: Coronae, Subsurface Structure and Volcano-Tectonics,” is now open. This is a 2-year position at the University of Padova, in collaboration with DLR Berlin.

Key Responsibilities:
• Produce numerical models of Venus’s subsurface evolution
• Apply geodynamical thermal evolution models to analyze magmatic history
• Investigate the presence of volatiles in the Venusian subsurface
• Collaborate closely with the DLR, Berlin, to ensure the success of the project

Requirements:
• PhD in Geophysics or Geosciences or related field (or about to complete)
• Strong background in numerical modeling and geodynamics
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
