In March 2022, we migrated the OP Forum from our self-managed VM/host to a new free hosting environment offered for free by Discourse (Free Hosting for Open Source v2). This means no more maintenance tasks and headaches for us/me, and we will save $6/month for the VM we’ve been using so far.
The old domain https://forum.openplanetary.org is forwarded to the new one: https://openplanetary.discourse.group.
One particular term for getting hosting for free is that if our OP Forum sees no activity (for several consecutive months) Discourse will get in touch with us about shutting down the site. So, feel free to use the OP Forum and keep it active!
