Just to pile on, here is the new tutorial showing some tips/code on using STAC API.

Generating 3D visualizations using the USGS CTX DTMs

Spotted on Slack … (thanks to Jason Laura - USGS). This tutorial shows how to stream DTMs from the AWS Open Data Registry into QGIS to create pretty colorized hillshades and 3D visualizations. No data downloads because these are Cloud Optimized GeoTiffs hosted by Amazon in public S3 buckets.
